There was one name that got you all gagged and over excited (and trending on Twitter!) when we announced our headliners for 2023…

Yes, Rachel Stevens is returning to music and gracing the Mighty Hoopla stage with her big musical comeback on the 3rd AND 4th June, and we got the inside scoop from our favourite pint-sized popstar about what to expect from her Mighty Return…

WE ARE GAGGED THAT YOU ARE BACK, RACHEL! HOW EXCITED ARE YOU TO TAKE TO THE STAGE AT MIGHTY HOOPLA?

I am so beyond excited! I can’t wait to perform for everyone at Mighty Hoopla and just get back out there. It’s been a while and I’m ready to have the best time on stage with everyone and bring a bit of nostalgia with me.

OK, WE NEED TO ASK A SERIOUS QUESTIONS.. CAN WE EXPECT A COM BACK OF THE ICONIC RED RIBBON CHOREOGRAPHY AT THIS NEW SHOW?!

Well… I guess you’ll just have to wait and see. I might well dust off the red ribbons but I think the audience will need to too.

WHAT HAVE YOU MISSED ABOUT PERFORMING SINCE YOU’VE BEEN AWAY? CAN WE EXPECT TO HEAR ‘SHOW ME YOUR COLOURS’?

I’ve had the opportunity to perform in a range of different ways over the years, through music and dance. The thing I’ve missed most is performing my own music and also being so connected with an audience and seeing people really love what you do and enjoying the moment, can’t wait! Show me your Colours is one of my favourite S Club songs and it’s so lovely to hear that it’s loved by the Mighty Hoopla community, so yes it might have to be worked into the set list.

WE KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A CATALOG OF SERIOUS BANGERS, WHATS ONGS ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO PERFORM IN JUNE?

Since planning the set list there are really quite a few that I’m so excited to perform, but the main ones would be LAX, Some Girls and now potentially Show Me Your Colours.

WHAT WILL YOU BE PACKING FOR YOUR FIRST MIGHTY HOOPLA?

A fabulous show outfit, with the biggest heels and masses of positive energy and love for such a brilliant event.

AND FINALLY, WHAT IS THE ONE WORD THAT WILL DESCRIBE YOUR MIGHTY HOOPLA PERFORMANCE?

I couldn’t possibly choose one but I’d say sassy, playful and kitsch!
