Gemma Collins, Essex’s very own royalty, will be taking to the stage at Brockwell Park for her first ever UK festival appearance. We spoke to Gemma to talk outfits, festival experiences, and what to expect from her grand arrival…
Gemma, we are absolutely OVER THE MOON to have you at Mighty Hoopla. How does it feel to be attending your first Hoopla?
I am SO excited to do doing Mighty Hoopla, move over Beyonce, GC’s in town!
Have you ever had a crazy festival experience you can tell us about? We can’t see you camping in a wet field…
I’m going to be honest guys, this is going to be so special for me because I’ve never been to a festival before. So this is going to be my first experience at a festival, so the gloves are off, the sequins are on, and I’m going to be have some mighty fun.
What can we expect from you as you take to the stage?
You are going to pass out, you are going to fall to the floor, you are going to feel the inner Goddess from me reigning all over you.
The lineup this year is iconic [but not as iconic as you], is there anyone else you’ll be heading over to see perform?
Oh honey the line up is spectacular, I would expect nothing else to be honest.
Let’s talk outfits – what can we expect from your Hoopla outfit, and what you expect from the crowd coming to see you?
Oh honey, I can’t disclose any information on my outfit yet. All I can say is it’s gonna be a PHOENIX rising through the flames.
And lastly, what do you want to say to your adoring fans who will be coming to see you in June?
Darling I want to say get your tickets now, you are going to be sharing GC’s first ever festival experience with her in all her glory. It’s going to be a moment in history, it’s going to be monumental, there’s going to be a statue of me put in Brockwell Park.
