Sat 1 & Sun 2 June 2024, Brockwell Park, London

The glitter has only just come off in the shower, our voices are just about back to normal, but the memories will last forever… Mighty Hoopla 2023, you really were a beauty.

From start to finish the entire weekend was full of absolutely legendary moments, but here’s five moments that really made 2023 THAT festival.

Oh, and if this has given you severe FOMO, you can get your tickets for 2024 NOW.

We’re weren’t messing around this year, were we babes? Mighty Hoopla 2.0 officially landed, with TEN incredible stages, a bloody roller disco, and hundreds of amazing artists, collectives, cabaret acts and more entertaining you. Our brand new main stage was bigger than ever and READY for Kelly Rowland, and our brand new Candy Crush Arena did not disappoint, giving you full pop nostalgia with Jamelia, Vengaboys and more. Our new bars also hosted the best of up and coming Queer talent, and the new-look Birdcage stage was busy from the moment we opened our doors, celebrating incredible cabaret and talents from The Cocoa Butter Club. It was a brand new world, and we bloody loved it.

The main stage was RAMMED for the debut of Eurovision 2023 winner Loreen, who served us VOCALS, nail inspo and pure bangers tbh. The atmosphere was filled with pure joy and euphoria (sorry) as fans sang along to every word. 3pm on a Sunday has never been better tbh.

We are proud to work with Not a Phase every year, and 2023 marked another epic parade! It was a vibrant celebration of the transgender community, culminating in a powerful speech on the main stage from prominent activist and author Shon Faye. The speech was inspiring, empowering, and an incredible way for our community to come together to showcase their continued allyship for the trans community.

Just when you thought Years & Years couldn’t get any more legendary, they pull THIS out of the bag. After a set of wall to wall hits, Olly Alexander took it to another level by bringing out KIMBERLY WALSH and NICOLA ROBERTS. Yes, two actual Girls Aloud members. We all then got to sway and sing to ‘The Promise’ and ‘Call the Shots’, and yes… many tears were shed. A true pop moment for the history books. Only the best for you.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a round up without THE moment of 2023. As the sun started to set on Saturday, 30,000 of you joined together to sing the chorus of Natasha Bedingfield’s ‘Unwritten’ along with the pop superstar herself, and the results were nothing short of beautiful. Words can’t do justice to the feeling, so check out the incredible moment you all became a Mighty Hoopla choir here, and make sure you’ve got your 2024 tickets booked now so you don’t miss out on this magic.
